Cardiff Detectives Professional Code of Conduct means that you can be certain that confidentiality and professionalism are key to our operations.

Commercial and private clients can rely on Cardiff Detectives to consistently perform to the highest standard. We operate in line with a strict code of ethics and always within the law.

All data held is stored electronically on our dedicated server in London. All our methods of surveillance and reporting will comply with the UK Data Protection Act. We hold a current valid data protection license. All employees understand and adhere to the DPA.

Confidentiality and Professionalism

Cardiff Detectives adheres to it's own strict code of professional ethics and is governed by the Data Protection Act 1998.

I. To perform all commercial and private duties in accordance with the highest professional and moral principles and never be guilty of conduct which will bring reproach upon the profession of British Investigation.

II. To conduct all investigations within the bounds of legality, morality and professional ethics.

III. To respect the privacy of clients, their lawful confidence and to ensure that services are adequately secure to protect privacy and guard against inadvertent disclosure of private information.

IV. To respect the best interest of our clients by maintaining the highest standard of proficiency and reporting to our clients all the facts ascertained.

V. To work towards the achievement of the highest professional objectives and to observe the precepts of truth, accuracy and prudence.

VI. To guard our own professional reputation and that of our Professional Associates and clients.

VII. To ensure that all employees and other persons paid to assist an investigation adhere to this Code of Ethics and accept responsibility thereof.

  • The town grew rapidly from the 1830s onwards, when the Marquess of Bute built a dock which eventually linked to the Taff Vale Railway.
  • Cardiff became the main port for exports of coal from the Cynon, Rhondda, and Rhymney valleys, and grew at a rate of nearly 80% per decade between 1840 and 1870.
  • By the 1881 census, Cardiff had overtaken both Merthyr and Swansea to become the largest town in Wales.[
  • Cardiff's new status as the premier town in South Wales was confirmed when it was chosen as the site of the University College South Wales and Monmouthshire in 1893.
  • Cardiff faced a challenge in the 1880s when David Davies of Llandinam and the Barry Railway Company promoted the development of rival docks at Barry.
  • Cardiff is built on reclaimed marshland on a bed of Triassic stones.
  • Cardiff is bordered to the west by the rural district of the Vale of Glamorgan.
  • Cardiff is situated near the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, stretching westward from Penarth and Barry.
